Restaurants and bars with a view in Liverpool

High up over the city, or right on the water. Book ahead and ask for a window: those seats go first.

Will you see fireworks? On 5 November, fireworks go up all over Liverpool and across the river on the Wirral, so a high window or a waterfront table usually catches a few. Just don't expect a big organised show over the Mersey: none has been announced for 2026.

Bonfire Night in Liverpool: your questions

When is Bonfire Night 2026?

Bonfire Night is on Thursday 5 November 2026. Many organised displays happen on the nearest weekend instead, so in 2026 look out for events on Saturday 7 November too.

Is there a fireworks display in Sefton Park in 2026?

As of 5 October 2026 we haven't found any announcement of a 2026 display in Sefton Park, and the 2025 display was listed as cancelled. We'll add it to this guide if one is confirmed.

Where can I eat or drink with a view in Liverpool?

For height, Panoramic 34 is on the 34th floor of the West Tower and Gino D'Acampo's 360 Sky Bar is on the 18th floor of the INNSiDE hotel. For the waterfront, Matou looks across the Mersey from the Pier Head, and Lunyalita and Miller & Carter are on the Royal Albert Dock.

Can you see fireworks over the Mersey on Bonfire Night?

There's no organised fireworks display over the river announced for 2026. But fireworks go up all over Liverpool and the Wirral on 5 November, so from a high building or the waterfront you'll usually see some.

What time can fireworks be set off on Bonfire Night?

In England, fireworks can't be set off between 11pm and 7am, except on Bonfire Night, when the cut-off is midnight.
